To exploit the full potential of bus-based boiler controls, GESTRA has
set out to implement overall automation of boiler housers.
The new Spector control system provides a highly efficient way to control
even complex boiler operations, ranging from level monitoring and conductivity
control to perfectly timed intermittent blowdown ocntrl. Use of Spector
control improves operating efficiency at all loads, improving boiler performance
and decreasing energy use.
However, it is not recommendable to integrate key safety components such
as low-level alarms into the Spector control system.
