Primary Flow Sensors - Slip Orifice Plates Tab Handled Slip Orifice Plates offer an economical method of generating a DP in pipes for a large range of liquids and gases. the plates are mounted between existing flanges in the pipework, witht the pressrue tappings being provided by the customer as either FLANGED, D & D/2 or CORNER tappings. The standard material is 316 stainless steel, but Monel 400 or Hastelloy C are aslo available. Types of plate Three types of Orifice Plate are available:-

Platon Shunt
Orifice Flowmeter - For Automatic Sprinkler Installations The Shunt Gapmeter Model SGUV Mark 2 has been developed specifically to meet the requirement for a direct reading flowmeter for use in automatic sprinkler installations, water spray or deluge systems. It is approved for regular monitoring and testing of such systems by the LPCB, Loss Prevention Certification Board, under their "Rules for Automatic Sprinkler Installations", in the UK, and by many equivalent organizations in other countries. The SGUV Mark 2 provides a compact, robust, direct reading flowmeter for 50mm - 200mm pipelines, and is suitable for use in horizontal or vertical pipes. Features

Flo-Bar Averaging pitot Tube
The
Flo-Bar is an Averaging Pitot tube flow sensor for use on pipes, ducts or
chimneys. Differential pressure created across the Flo-Bar has the standard
square root relationship to flow rate, making a simple, removable sensor for
installation or retrofit on flowlines of any size.

FLow Sensors and Systems - The Range
Differential pressure based flow sensor elements are long established methods for gas, liquid or steam flowmetering - as specified in such standard as BS 1042 and ISO 5167. Platon manufactures orifice plates and associated flow measurement systems, designed and built to suit the customer process requirement. This introduction shows some examples of the product capabilities and standard ranges available from Platon Instrumentation.
