Design
The TURBISCOPE consists of a sensor type ORG and a measuring transducer type ORT 4 or ORT 5.
The sensor is a photometric measuring device that can be used for pressure ratings up to PN 10. A glass cylinder fitted between light emitter and light receiver serves as a sightglass. The metal parts in contact with the fluid are either made of grey-cast iron (ORG 12) or of stainless steel (ORG 22), e.g. for the foodstuff industry or water treatment plants. The sensor is provided with three connections for the inlet and outlet of the liquid to be monitored (with flow reversal) and for the discharge of the rinsing water or for sampling. The glass cylinder can be cleaned during operation with the aid of the cleaning plunger.
Two versions of measuring transducer are available, each in a field case. The simpler unit type ORT 4 and the alternative type ORT 5 with greater operating and indicating facilities.
