Vaihinger Magnetic Level GaugesÂ
Supplied for a wide range of operation pressures [vacuum to 325 bar], and an operating temperature range of -200ÂșC to + 450ÂșC, the MAGNA VOX magnetic liquid level indicators provide accurate level measurement for remote indication and switching.
A permanent ring magnet, mounted within the float, actuates a series of red and white indication elements, through the wall of the guide tube. These elements can easily be seen at a remote distance. The red section is exactly analogous to liquid level.
Magnetic stabilisation of each indication element ensures both reliable and consistent liquid level indication in the presence of vibration and other physical disturbances or shock. For the majority of all applications a freely moving closed float is used.
Through special design and manufacture the minimum liquid density, for closed floats, can be as low as 300 kg/mÂł, for pressures up to a maximum of PN 40 [40 bar].
The standard float guide tube material is ANSI 316 stainless steel [1.4571]. Alternative materials comprise : hastelloy, titanium and monel, PVDF, PE, PP, PVC etc.
Standard indicators can be coated with halar [E_CTFE], rubber and teflon [PTFE].
The design and production of magnetic level gauges complies with AD/TRD regulations [German design classification]. PTB certificates are supplied with gauges intended for installation in hazardous areas. Gauges intended for marine applications are supplied with Germanischer Llyod, Llyod's Register of Shipping and Det Norske Veritas certificates, in addition to those of several other international authorities.
For operating pressures between PN 40 and PN 63 [40 to 63 bar] TUV certificates can be provided for those steam boiler level gauges used as regulators and limiters.
